SOUTH EAST ALBERTA

YOUTH CAREERS

The South Eastern Alberta Partners for Youth Career Development (SEAPYCD) is a regional-based partnership consisting of industry, school divisions, and government.

OUR MISSION

“Empower youth to achieve rewarding careers”

We do this by:

  • Providing awareness of careers with shortages (in trades, technology, and health)
  • Collaborating with employers and industry to engage the future workforce
THESE ARE

OUR PRINCIPLES

  • Learners are central to what we do. The partnership is committed to assisting learners to reach their full potential.

  • Honesty, integrity, trustworthiness and reliability describe the relationship between members of the partnership and youth.

  • Goals, expectations, informed decisions and successes are based on a clear statement of purpose, evaluative strategies, measures, and performance assessments, which guide healthy and energetic actions.

THESE ARE

OUR GOALS

  • To build awareness and understanding in SEAPYCD’s role in supporting youth in career development

  • To inform and leverage career focused programs to encourage participation by youth

  • To work collaboratively with industry and employers in career development for youth

  • To actively engage community stakeholders
